Reviews
Ideally situated next to the bay, this spot is a short walk to iconic San Diego views and is a convenient five-minute walk from the ferry. The outdoor seating is a major highlight, providing a perfect atmosphere to enjoy their excellent coffee and tea. While the location is a 10/10, the food was a bit more hit-or-miss. The Caprese Panini was decent, but the internal ingredients felt a bit mushy and lacked the brightness you’d expect from fresh mozzarella and tomatoes. Similarly, the Raspberry Ricotta dessert was pleasant enough, but didn't quite leave a lasting impression. Come for the views and the caffeine, but there's room for improvement on the kitchen execution.
Stopped by Tartine and had the prosciutto panini — it was really good, fresh, and full of flavor. The servers were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Simple, delicious food with great service. Would definitely come back!
Visited twice in one week — that says a lot already. Tartine has this effortless European charm: simple, well-made pastries, not overly sweet, and very reasonably priced for the quality. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit down with a coffee and slow down for a bit. The citrus cheesecake is a must-try. Light, refreshing, with a clean citrus flavor that doesn’t feel heavy at all — I could easily finish the whole thing without feeling overwhelmed. Also loved their selection of pastries — rustic, comforting, and consistently good. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to. ☕️🍰
I ordered a Chai Latte and I think they made it with water. It was weak and tasted watered down. I dont think I've ever had such a sad Chai Latte in my life. The food was pretty inadequate for what you pay. Even by San Diego/Coronado standards. We placed a carry out order for some Panini and the only thing remotely redeeming was the bread. We waited a very long time to get them, too. The atmosphere nailed the European cafe, but the quality just didnt seem to be there. Also, there was a dog seated indoors. I get if you want to have your furry friend on the patio, but it just doesnt seem clean to have one inside the restaurant.
Holy smokes what a great experience! Our food was incredible and our server took extra care of us for my wife’s birthday. I forgot her name, I’m so sorry. But we were on the patio from around 12 to 1. Can’t wait to come back.
