Menu states smoked fish dip comes with crackers and vegetables. While true, came with saltines and celery- expected some variety and more than one type of vegetable. Flavor of dip was good. Grouper sandwich (ordered grilled) was ok, but a bit bland. Didn’t come with tomato as menu advertised which would have provided a bit more flavor. Server never came to check with us once entrees delivered. 3% added for cc transactions.
The Sandbar is hands-down my favorite place to cut loose on Marco Island. There is always something fun happening — a great live band, karaoke night, or a DJ — and the energy is contagious. The crowd is welcoming, lively, and just there to have a good time, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the night. The food is also consistently great. I don’t even have photos to share because we tend to dive right in, but every meal I’ve had there has been solid and satisfying. If you’re looking for a go-to spot with fun people, great music, and a laid-back island vibe, this is it. Definitely one of my regular stops whenever I’m on Marco Island.
We enjoyed our meal here. Got there early during happy hour and seated easily. Waitress was fantastic and very attentive. We enjoyed the oysters, shrimp basket and grouper basket and side of onion rings. Everything was fresh and properly seasoned. It was great to have games on to watch football. Band was setting up but we were not able to stay and listen. Nice to offer live music!
I had the jalapeño crusted grouper and wow it was delicious! The others had Chicken special, shrimp tacos, and sand piper burger and it was really good!! Super busy place; seems like a locals go to! Service was great especially as busy as they were!
It’s a dive bar, but a great one. Kathleen our server was great and the beer was cold and excellent. The peel and shrimp was the best I have had in a long time. we did not have the grouper sandwich but I hear it’s great! VictorB
