First visit to Ruth Chris. It was great. Warning on the sizzling plates, that’s excellent for your food and exciting to witness but terrible for nice clothes - unless you carry a stain remover pen :( I held a napkin up until the spitting sizzles stopped. My husband was not that fast and we had no stain remover. This French onion was the best flavor I have ever had! It was just strange to eat, because the cheese layer was so thick I needed to use the knife to cut a piece to fit the spoon. I love Brussel sprouts, I would have ate the whole bowl it they are all cooked through, only the small ones were cooked perfectly, the large ones were too hard to chew. Really great staff, delicious food, and the view was wonderful. That Ruth Chris Manhattan was perfect πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ’

Great steakhouse down on the harbour. We had the New York strip and it arrived sizzling on the hot plate, cooked to perfection! Our server, Andrea, was amazing, anticipating every need and friendly and professional. Th view over the harbour at sunset is something special, and we enjoyed the atmosphere and location. The fries were a little soggy, and could have been crisper. The asparagus was perfectly cooked.

A perfect meal setting and definitely worth the price! I love how attentive the staff is without being overbearing. Each incoming dish was timed perfectly as we were finishing the previous plate, so the table wasn't crowded like at other restaurants. The food is fantastic with the right size portions. And the view of the bay is beautiful. Highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert.

The food is consistently excellent. Proteins are cooked to the right point, and the dressings deliver a well-defined flavor with a pleasant oily body that makes the experience especially enjoyable. The cocktails are well balanced, with the alcohol present but never overpowering. Among the starters, the calamari stands out as the highlight, perfectly cooked β€” tender, never chewy or tough. It shares the spotlight with the house salad, where the subtle smokiness of the bacon pairs beautifully with the finely cut vegetables and the rich texture of the dressing. The baked potato, despite its apparent simplicity, is flawlessly executed, with each element contributing to an unexpectedly satisfying side. Credit to Chef Antonio Robles and his team for the attention to detail and consistency throughout the menu. A dining experience well worth repeating.

The service was initially good but declined as the night wore on. We had to ask for our waiter twice before he returned to our table after our food arrived. Issue, my sister's fillet was very rare and she requested for her fillet to be cooked a bit longer. My fillet was not so rare cooked to my liking, shown in the picture. I was almost done with my meal when she finally received her fillet back. After taking a few bites her fillet was grizzly and fatty. The onion soup, as shown in the picture, was served without cheese, and the waiter did nothing to fit it. My salad had large blue cheese chucks, not like creamy dressing, it was dry. One server kept trying to clear our table too early, we did not get to enjoy all our bread. Our desserts arrived before my sister was finished eating, so the desserts sat on the table for a while till she was done with her meal, which was disappointing we were celebrating her birthday. We doubt that we will be returning anytime soon with this latest experience at 1355 N Harbor Dr, San Diego. Disappointed customers!
