We went on Saturday for their beach cleanup with our BSA Troop out of Alva. We were 20 deep and this was the cleanest beach, parking lot and facility we have ever cleaned up. Minimal trash, some of us found nothing in over an hour of walking the beach and pathways. This beach is so well maintained by staff and volunteers. We grilled lunch and found plenty of shaded picnic benches with two grills near each other to feed everyone. We look forward to coming back!
Absolutely wonderful state park to visit. Park staff is phenomenal and extremely helpful! Entry fee is minimal, especially when you look at everything you can experience! From hiking trails, what seems like a private beach that's excellent for shelling, to kayaking - this park is a true hidden gem in the Ft. Myers/Bonita Springs area. Arrive early because parking fills quickly, and as of this post, hours of operation are 8 am to sunset. I'll definitely be back!
Lovers Key State Park is truly one of the hidden gems of Southwest Florida 🌴☀️ From the beautiful white sand beaches to the peaceful walking and kayaking trails, this place feels like a little slice of paradise. We spent the day enjoying the incredible views, watching dolphins in the water, and relaxing in the calm natural surroundings. The park is very clean, well maintained, and perfect for anyone who loves nature, boating, biking, or simply enjoying a quiet beach day away from the crowds. One of my favorite parts is how untouched and natural everything still feels. You can walk for miles along the shoreline and enjoy amazing sunsets that make you stop and appreciate Florida living. The staff was friendly, parking was easy, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Highly recommend visiting if you are in Southwest Florida. Definitely a place we will keep coming back to! 🌊🐬🌅
My absolute favorite beach! The water was calm and peaceful on the day we visited. The beach itself is amazing—we spent hours exploring and discovering all kinds of interesting sea creatures. While walking the Calusa Loop Trail, we even spotted a few manatees. Definitely coming back! 🐚
Awesome place to hike. Especially if you not from the state. Easy flat trails packed with wildlife. Lizards everywhere! Huge turtles, cool birds, and apparently alligators. Just didn’t see any.
