Like some of the patients, I received a card in the mail inviting me to a group lunch meeting with Dr. Al-Selhi. I normally disregard this type of mail but it arrived at a time when the fingers in my right hand are refusing to work after many years of stiffness, swelling and pain. The information he shared at the meeting made so much sense to me, I signed up to see him. The appointment consisted of getting x-rays done on my hand followed with an immediate consultation where Dr. Al-Selhi pointed out what the x-rays reveal, the causes of my diagnosed osteoarthritic fingers and his recommendations for treatment. I agreed to a session of treatments and within weeks, I noticed the fingers are less stiff, less swollen and easier to flex. One of the things he also did during my initial consultation was to give me a book he had written about how our diet can relieve as well as aggravate our pain. It helped me stop and think about what I have eaten the day before that caused my fingers to be stiff and swollen again the next mornings I woke up. And because I had started to use my left hand when the other one went on strike, the left hand started aching and swelling. Dr. A hooked my left hand on to the machines as well. Talk about kindness. When you enter the office, you will be greeted by the beautiful smile of Jennifer, his assistant. And even when the days are hectic, she makes sure you are comfortably set up for the treatments before attending to the next person. She is so calm and never a strand of hair out of place, that she calms you as well. Although the treatments become routine, Dr. A (for short) never fails to come in to check on you, your progress and administer some of the routine treatments himself. Occasionally, depending on one’s condition at the time, he never hesitates to give extra treatments as needed. I’d like to share why I believe I made the right decision to go see Dr. A and Jennifer. The waiting room is small because I never have to wait long. My treatment starts right on time which tells me they plan their days very well. Personally, I think the patients value what the treatments do for them that they can’t wait to be there on time on the day they are scheduled. At least, that’s how I feel. Another thing I noticed was the arrival of a new equipment to replace an existing one that was still functioning. This tells me the doctor takes pride in providing the latest and updated versions of the tools he use. AND the one thing that stands out each time one patient leaves the room and another enters, is we all have happy faces. I think we are all happy because we are in a place where we feel the love and care of Dr. A and Jennifer, where one gets the tangible meaning of “compassion”, where you know you are on your way to experiencing massively less pain or none at all after each visit. I would gladly refer Dr. A to anyone who can benefit from his care. I would also advise people not to wait until their pains are unbearable before seeing him.
I can’t say enough good things about iSpine health and Dr. A. They have helped reduce my intense, chronic pain to almost nonexistent, which I honestly never thought would be possible. The care here is not only effective…it’s deeply kind. Despite being in pain when I first started, I always looked forward to my appointments because of how supported and cared for I felt. Jennifer is absolutely amazing, and both she and Dr. A truly treat me like family. I’m blown away by my progress and beyond grateful. I was initially skeptical of all the glowing reviews, but I can now say they are completely true. I couldn’t recommend them more.
If you suffer from arthritis or neuropathy, then probably your personal physician has told you that these conditions occur with aging and there is no treatment, except pain pills. Learn to live with it! But now there is hope. Dr. Fadi Al-Selhi, DC, has been treating us and we have improved markedly over the last three months. There is much less pain without pain medication. Dr. Al-Selhi is extraordinary. He has a masters degree in Gerontology and has researched both of these conditions, having devised original and painless treatments for them. You will find that Fady is compassionate, friendly, warm, and smart. His assistant, Jennifer, helps him administer the treatments and always greets us with a smile, and makes the whole experience fun!
After attending one of Dr. Al-Selhi's informational seminars about the nature of his practice, I elected to become one of his patients --something that I will never regret. He and his welcoming/ friendly and competent assistant run a very efficient practice. They both are true hidden gems. Dr. Al-Selhi is an arthritis specialist, well-versed in Gerontology but he has worked with younger patients. He is skilled in a bevy of alternative health techniques beyond mere chiropractic.."just what the Dr. Ordered" at this time in my life. You see I have been familiar with chiropractic practice singe age 10. What Dr. Al-Selhi has to offer the ailing patient, however far surpasses anything that I have ever experienced in the field. He is a life long learner, constantly seeking to advance his knowledge base for the betterment and understanding of his patients and what they present. He explains the rationale and purpose of each recommended treatment, counsels you on proper nutrition to turn your health trajectory around, prescribes specific exercises t o propel your recovery and build a basis for his treatments to have a lasting effect on your health. You will not be disappointed if you choose Dr. Al-Selhi at iSpine Health center as your next and last Chiropractor
I have experienced three major episodes of vertigo over the years and ongoing short term, much smaller episodes, which made me wonder if they would become full-blown. With Dr. Fadi Selhi’s treatments these episodes no longer exist. Dr. A is also treating me for moderate arthritis in my back and hip and I no longer limp. The pain in my back has drastically decreased to the point where it’s all but disappeared. I cannot say enough about Dr. A. And his assistant Jennifer is outstanding too. Together, they create a very welcoming, caring office.
