Superb! So grateful for Island Veterinary Care. Dr. Yoshioka and her team took great care of my dog after another dog bit him. They explained the treatment plan with kindness and professionalism, immediately putting me at ease. They executed care (cleaning out the wounds and applying sutures) flawlessly, sending me and my dog home quickly. All of this after hours on a weekend. Simply marvelous! Thank you Dr. Yoshioka and your team!

I adopted my pit bull 5 years ago, and was lucky enough to choose this vet. If you are looking for high quality individualized care, this is the place. Over the last year or two, my dog's arthritis and hip dysplasia has progressed, but so has our treatment plan. Most recently, he received PRP, the latest and greatest in treatments. While not cheap, it was covered by our pet insurance and has completely relieved my worries about him and his grumpy behavior as a result of pain. He's like a young puppy again, and I'm so grateful! Each step along the way, Dr. Lau has been there for us. When we brought him in for his first visit, he had giardia, mange, and an infection in his nueter sutures. Then, from first identifying, testing,and treating his allergies (which were causing infections), to ongoing treatment for his arthritis, to the little moments like that time he ate a bunch of raisins and they were on the phone and ready and willing to assist. We've had dentals, teeth extractions, a small skin cyst removed.... you name it. Truly this practice cares about my dog and is proactive in treating not just his symptoms, but the root cause. As a first time pet owner, I have been endlessly grateful for their care, concern, and willingness to teach me. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you!

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this veterinary hospital. My cats have been sneezing for over ten years and not a single veterinarian has ever offered to do diagnostic testing, even when I asked them if we could. Max and Patches were my grandfather's cats, and when he passed away, I took them in. Ten years my grandfather and I tried to help them, ten years we took them in to vet after vet looking for an answer to the sneezing and coughing. We've spent thousands and thousands of dollars looking for an answer, every vet has simply written a prescription for what they thought it might be, no testing, no definitive answer, just a guess. But now I know how to help them. Dr. Bert Lau does things the right way. He doesn't give you a diagnosis without knowing all the information, he does diagnostic testing and finds answers. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to discover after TEN YEARS that my babies have been suffering for no reason other than the ineptitude of other veterinarians. Diagnostics can be expensive, but if you want things done the right way, this is the place. I am so thankful I found Dr. Lau and this veterinary office. I am so happy my kitties will finally be able to breathe easily for the first time in their lives. Thank you Dr. Lau and everyone at Island Veterinary Care, I truly cannot recommend this place enough.

A bit pricey but the vet and her assistants were very kind and patient. Also extremely informative. Their facility was also cleaner than vet offices I’ve visited in the past.

Great experience. They took really good care of kitten. We adopted him from the humane society and he was a stray so he had a few problems that needed to be addressed. They did a really good job of explaining everything and even clipped his nails for us free of charge. We feel like he is in good care with them.
