3rd visit to this great establishment. The sausage roll has good texture, small amd taste, thick but a touch oily. Pastry nice and light. The custard tart was my favourite, set well, thick as, great taste, well done to the pastry guys and girls. Thank you The shop offers a variety of cakes, sandwich and hot food.. give them ago !
Now this is one thing I’ve missed living in QLD is a real “ sausage roll “ ahhh what a cracking country bakery huge selection of pastries and cakes etc but I came for the sausage roll , i just can’t find ones this good up in Brissie , and I’ve worked in bakery hospitality industry for 25 + years heck I’m even a baker by trade but hats off these are on point cheers worth a visit here I will be back for a pie next time
Great small town bakery with so much to choose from. Noticed lots of vegetarian options - pasty, pie, spinach and ricotta roll, and a veggie quiche which was absolutely delicious. Colleague recommends the chocolate donut!
A group of us popped into Dough si Dough Sourdough Bakery for a coffee. It was a rainy Saturday morning, and this bakery was very busy. That said, there were plenty of tables and chairs inside for everyone. The staff were friendly and efficient, although there was a bit of a wait to order. There were positive comments about the coffees and the food and I also agreed. The range of products available here is extensive so you shouldn’t leave hungry. Worth a drive out to Strathfieldsaye to check them out.
Update: Still no chicken pie. Tried the beef pastie and it was very flakey and was basically a sausage roll in the shape of a pastie. Very strange. Had the steak and pepper pie, it was nice. Hopefully they still have the chicken and vegetable pie still as it wasn't there when I went in. I would have purchased a cake but it was waaay too expensive.
